Kurt: Do-It-Yourself

Following the premature death of Seattle-based artist Kurt Cobain in 1994, his life and work has reverberated across the globe. Grunge music is arguably Seattle’s greatest cultural export of the past 20 years. Kurt and his band Nirvana were central figures in that movement. This exhibition features objects ranging from straightforward portraits of Kurt to works that show a more subtle assimilation of his ethos and idealism. Please note that this exhibition includes mature content and themes that may not be suitable for young audiences. For more information, please contact: trc@seattleartmuseum.org.
