My Favorite Things: Diego González-Medina

Dec 7 2017

Seattle Art Museum

Third Floor Galleries

6:30 PM – 7 PM

My Favorite Things tours bring some of the most opinionated and fascinating artists, cultural producers, and community figures into the galleries to discuss their favorite works of art.

This week's tour will be led by Diego José González-Medina.

About The Presenter

Diego José González-Medina is a community-based organizer, technologist, and artist of Puerto Rican and New Mexican descent. While he grew up in Seattle, Diego is most inspired by his experience living among vibrant throngs in Mexico City.

Diego is passionate about creative platforms for queer, and trans people of color to celebrate their culture and find community. As the Father of The House of Luna, Diego organizes and competes in queer (kiki) balls throughout the west coast. Diego is also a published author, elected Global Shaper, and recent founder of WayUp!, a digital platform for grassroots organizers.

Diego brings his artful love of the body, surrealism, and Latin-American culture to you on this tour of My Favorite Things Tour.

All tours start at the top of the gallery escalator.

Free and open to the public.
