SAM and Alliance Française honor the centennial of renowned writer-director Jean-Pierre Melville (1917–2017). A provincial family gives a Nazi aristocrat the silent treatment in Le Silence de la Mer; Melville transforms Jean Cocteau’s brother-sister tale into perverse, dark poetry in Les Enfants Terribles; and a widow (Emmanuelle Riva) tries to seduce a young priest (Jean-Paul Belmondo) in Leon Morin, Priest. In French with English subtitles.

A limited number of single-film tickets may be available on a first-come, first-served basis the day of the show, at 7:25 pm, at the auditorium entrance for $9 (cash/check only).
