Roll up your sleeves and prepare to get your hands, eyes, mind, and even feet mixed up with art! Time capsules, masks, collages, paintings, portraits, a dance workshop, shoreline exploration at the sculpture park, and outdoor lunches with a view of the Puget Sound—SAM Camp gets young artists moving, thinking, and making. Each week includes art making, outdoor exploration, and a field trip to the Seattle Art Museum. Led by local arts educators, and inspired by the art on view, SAM Camp is different every week and every year.

All three weeks of camp this year will be held at the Olympic Sculpture Park. This award-winning nine-acre park on Seattle’s waterfront offers monumental contemporary sculptures and breathtaking views of the Space Needle, Olympic Mountains, and Puget Sound. Throughout the week we will explore not only the park and its landscapes but also the sculptures within the park.

This week, become an environmentalist! Investigate the natural world of the park and waterfront, make artwork using recycled materials and paint the landscape en plein air.

SAM Camp is for children entering grades 1–5 in fall 2018. Pickup is at 3 pm. Afternoon extended care is available until 5:30 pm for $50/week or $12/day.

Early Registration: January 1–March 1 Members $325 Public $340 Registration after March 1 $360
