Art Beyond Sight: Figuring History

Mar 28 2018

Seattle Art Museum

Arnold Board Room (entire)

12:30 PM – 3:30 PM

Join us as we explore the work of three generations of contemporary American artists whose work challenges a Western painting tradition that underrepresents people of color. Docents will provide verbal descriptions of four artworks from the special exhibition Figuring History: Robert Colescott, Kerry James Marshall, and Mickalene Thomas.

Art Beyond Sight tours are free for visitors with low or no-vision and their guests. Registration is full for this program. Contact [email protected] to get on the waiting list or to sign up for future tours.
