On the Verge Art Show

Feb 6 – Mar 25 2020

Seattle Art Museum

First Floor Corridor

9 AM – 5 PM

Seattle Art Museum's Teen Arts Group is ecstatic to curate an exhibit centering teen artists' self-expression. This show focuses on the theme of being "On the Verge," a prevalent position and feeling in much of teen life. Whether it be on the brink of identiy evolution, a changing a mental state, or a literal crossing into a new culture and territory, this collection of young artists have taken the prompt in a variety of directions. The art featured shines light on the vulnerability, confusion, and anger of teenagers alongside celebrations of innocence and the wonders of youth. This gallery aims to convey the complexities of youth through a wide array of mediums and artistic styles. Teen Arts Group hopes to spark reflection and appreciation for Washington's teen artists.

The Seattle Art Museum acknowledges that we are located on the ancestral land of the Coast Salish people.
