DESCRIPTION:Create and connect every first\, second\, and third Saturday\, 11 am–2 pm. 
 This lively space is filled with hands-on art making\, live music\, and mom
 ents of community—all inspired by SAM’s permanent collections and exhibitio
 ns.\nWhether you’re an art enthusiast\, a curious newcomer\, or just lookin
 g for a place to recharge this weekend\, you’re always welcome. Learn about
  the artwork through interactive activities\, meet new friends\, or simply 
 enjoy the atmosphere before exploring the galleries.\nPrograms in SAM’s ent
 ry gathering spaces are always free and open to everyone. Food and beverage
 s from Shooby Doo Catering will be available for purchase in the Brotman Fo
 rum. Bring your curiosity and imagination\, we’ll provide the rest.\n11 am–

 llery entrance for an interactive family tour\, then gather at South Hall f
 or storytime and a book raffle with Haida artist\, author\, and educator\, 
 Sondra Segundo! \n11 am–2 pm | Correo Aereo Traditional music from Argentin
 a\, Cuba\, Mexico\, Venezuela and beyond\, Correo Aereo combines a stunning
  array of string and percussive instruments with silken vocal harmonies. Th
 eir repertoire draws from their Indigenous American roots\, and the African
 \, N. African &amp\; Sephardic diasporas\, and inspires their own original 
 offerings as well. Abel Rocha plays Venezuelan and Mexican harp\, guitar\, 
 cuatro\, quinta huapanguera and vocals. Madeleine Sosin offers violin\, mar
 acas\, bombo\, jarana\, quijada and vocals. They are joined by ‘Award winni
 ng Amy Denio (The Tiptons and Kulture Shock)\, on clarinet\, accordion and 
 vocals.\nThis performance is presented in partnership with Early Music Seat
 tle.\nSAM Creates: Wet-on-Wet Watercolor\nDive into the magic of painting w
 ith colors that blend\, flow\, and transform with water and textures with g
 uidance from Valencia Carroll! \n
