Inspired by Jacob Lawrence’s iconic series The American Struggle, we will reflect on the power of storytelling to lend new insights into historic times. Led by educators from South End Stories and Seattle Art Museum, participants will learn about classroom resources created for this important exhibition and gain new tools for nurturing student voice.

Registration fee is $15. If cost is a barrier, please contact educationprograms@seattleartmuseum.org. Two clock hours provided courtesy of Seattle Central College.

Seattle Art Museum acknowledges that we are on the traditional homelands of the Duwamish and the customary territories of the Suquamish and Muckleshoot Peoples. As a cultural and educational institution, we honor our ongoing connection to these communities past, present, and future. We also acknowledge the urban Native peoples from many Nations who call Seattle their home.
