10th International Day of Yoga Celebration

Participate in the 10th International Day of Yoga kick-off celebration in collaboration with the Consulate General of India, Seattle, as part of the United Nations’ 10th International Day of Yoga celebrations.

The event will feature a 45-minute yoga session by Indian Yoga Guru Shephali Agarwal.

The International Day of Yoga aims to raise awareness worldwide of the many benefits of practicing yoga. Yoga originated in India as an ancient physical, mental, and spiritual practice. The word ‘yoga’ derives from Sanskrit and means to join or to unite, symbolizing the union of body and consciousness.

Space will be limited, and early arrival is encouraged to secure your spot. T-shirts and yoga mats will be provided for the first 200 guests, courtesy of the Consulate General of India, Seattle. Please bring a water bottle and any other items necessary for your practice. All levels are welcome.

About the Yoga Guru

Shephali Agarwal is a certified meditation, yoga, and leadership instructor with over 2,000 hours of training and 15 years of teaching experience with the Art of Living Foundation. While running the Art of Living Yoga and Meditation Center, she developed a strength in working with people of all nationalities, backgrounds, and religious traditions. Hailing from India, she is a renowned yoga teacher, helping communities globally overcome stress and fostering peace from within.
