Join us for the opening celebration of Lay Your Burden Down, a new installation by Seattle-based artist Carina del Rosario. Through her work, del Rosario invites visitors to reflect on the act of release— letting go, healing, and transformation—through shared stories and ritual-inspired forms.
The afternoon begins with a conversation with the artist, offering insight into the inspiration and creative process behind the piece. A reception will follow, where guests can meet the artist and connect with others in the community. Attendees will also enjoy access to the museum’s galleries, including current exhibitions that explore the diversity and dynamism of Asian art and culture.
