With a background in modern art and interior decoration, Joey M Robinson has a masterful control of space and design. Influenced by Rothko and Motherwell, he utilizes simple shapes and color combinations to invoke emotion in the viewer. Over the 17 years Joey has been working as an artist, he has challenged and reinvented himself to produce works that consistently feel fresh and inspired. Always eager to experiment, Joey recently transitioned from acrylic painting to encaustics and quickly found a signature style using a repetition of circles that dance across the paintings with a musical feel.
