Discounts

Many visitors walk in various directions through a crowded gallery of sculptures and paintings.
About

To ensure that everyone has the opportunity to experience art, SAM offers monthly free days and various discounts for visiting our locations. Through partnerships with organizations and through corporate support, there are many ways to get free or reduced admission to SAM. We’re committed to providing access to art for those who experience barriers to entry.

What to know

Plan ahead and get your discount tickets online before your visit. Visitors taking advantage of any of the below discounts can select a “discount ticket” when getting tickets online. When you arrive at the museum, head to any Ticketing Desk to present proof of discount eligibility and pick up your tickets. You can find out about specific eligibility requirements in the details of each discount below.

Discounts can also be redeemed onsite without getting a Discount Ticket in advance, subject to availability. Bring in your proof of eligibility and start enjoying the galleries.

If none of these discounts are available to you, remember that admission is FREE to everyone at the Seattle Art Museum and the Seattle Asian Art Museum on the first Thursday of every month. Find out more.

Transit Partnership: FREE RIDE

While supplies last, general admission ticket buyers who get tickets online 24 hours in advance can receive 600 points in free transit credit, enough to cover a round-trip fare on public transportation. Download the Transit GO Ticket app, redeem your credit from the promo code in your pre-visit email, and ride transit to your day of artful fun.
