Join Dr. Mia HyeYeon Kim, a Seattle-based pianist originally from Seoul, South Korea, draws inspiration from Farm to Table: Art, Food, and Identity in the Age of Impressionism, with a performance shaped like a French multi-course meal. Each musical work offers a different "flavor"—from simplicity and freshness to richness and sweetness—reflecting the exhibition’s exploration of food, culture, and identity. Together, the program invites listeners to experience French impressionist music not as separate works, but as a shared table of sounds.

Put your French skills to the test with a fun and flavorful twist! In this Dictée Gourmande hosted by Alliance Française de Seattle, participants will listen carefully and transcribe the steps of a classic French recipe with correct spelling and grammar. It's a tasty way to sharpen your language skills with a focus on new culinary vocabulary. AFSeattle French instructor, Pauline, will read the recipe a few times as you write, before exploring the grammar and vocabulary behind it.
