Olympic Sculpture Park

Grounds and Pavilion

SAM Remix is back at the Olympic Sculpture Park! Wrap up the summer season with the best and brightest of our city’s creative community at SAM's signature late-night art party on Seattle’s waterfront.

This edition of SAM Remix is themed Avant Garden to celebrate all the extraordinary ways art and expression can blossom. Join us for art installations that push boundaries, performances that will raise your pulse, fashion displays inspired by the artworks at the park, photo booths where you become the art, DJs, tours, and more.

Dress code is nature unbound (i.e., bright florals, upcycled garments, animal prints, etc.). The first one hundred attendees to come dressed to petal perfection will receive a free drink voucher. Get your tickets early—there won’t be any available at the event!

SAM Remix is a 21+ event.

Art activations

Wind your way through the avant-garden with drag chanteuse and vintage curator Mona Real. Always arriving fashionably late to reality, she’ll lead a My Favorite Things tour of the park’s sculptures while dressed to the nines. Mona’s avant garde styles will roam about the park for a full evening of moving, breathing art.

Esmeralda Andrea Vasquez is a self-taught visual artist currently based out of the Seattle area. With a focus on color theory and symbolism, she holds a deep love for the social-emotional connection to community. In this two-part activity “You Deserve Flowers”, guests will let their creativity bloom by painting a personal terracotta planter to then fill with DIY paper flora inspired by the nature that grows in the Olympic Sculpture Park.

Bring home your very own handcrafted blooms to add to your new terracotta planter. Frolic down the path to collect the DIY paper plant activities inspired by the nature that grows in the Olympic Sculpture Park.

Try your hand at the timeless art of still-life drawing. Practice techniques that capture the beauty of a flower arrangement by Bahtoh with precision and creativity, enhancing your artistic skills in an inspiring environment.

Immerse yourself amongst a grove of soft stumps and explore nature’s vibrant dialogue of shifting colors in a captivating installation from Seattle Design Nerds.

In his work, Latino Seattle-based artist Adrian Pacheco explores the physical and digital relationships between art, craft, and design. In the pieces Pacheco is featuring at SAM Remix, FLOWER / A NEW DAY, you can experience an in-person and augmented reality take on nature.
