Remix the museum, meet artists, get creative, and become part of Seattle’s creative community at SAM's unique after-hours art experience. No two Remixes are the same. Live DJs and bands fill the museum with music. Local luminaries share their favorite works of art with you. Contemporary performance and dance of all kinds respond to art from across time and place. SAM Remix highlights the best of our region.
Since 2008, SAM has invited the best and brightest of Seattle talent to produce one-of-a-kind art experiences at this signature nighttime program. Past Remixes have included breakdance, burlesque, poetry readings, KEXP DJs, aura portrait photography, an interactive ball pit installation, jewelry making, and so much more. Remix is inspired by current exhibitions, SAM’s collection, and the traditional territories of the Coast Salish people.
