Join us as renowned artist Fay Jones takes the stage, accompanied by Carrie Dedon, SAM Associate Curator of Contemporary and Modern Art. Delve into Jones's captivating world as she shares insights into her illustrious career, spanning from her formative years in Seattle during the 1960s and 70s to the present day. With Dedon's expert facilitation, Jones will explore the depths of her work, revealing the influences that have shaped her artistic journey and her artworks on view in Poke in the Eye: Art of the West Coast Counterculture, offering a unique opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of Jones's contributions to the art world.

Fay Jones, born in Boston, Massachusetts, is a distinguished artist who graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design. In 1960, she relocated to Seattle, where she has been an active and prominent figure in the art scene since 1970.
