Summer at SAM: Concert Night

Play, picnic, create, and frolic this summer at the Olympic Sculpture Park! SAM presents an entire magical summer season packed full of programs that combine visual art, movement, music, community, and a sprinkle of fairy dust. This year, we’re embodying the fairy magic of nature, reminding us of the deep, playful connection between imagination and the environment.

All Summer at SAM programs are free, public, and suitable for all ages. There is no outside alcohol permitted in the Olympic Sculpture Park.

July 31 is Member Appreciation Night! All SAM Members are invited to stop by the Membership table outside the PACAAR Pavilion for complimentary Seattle Pops and fun giveaways. 

Thursday evenings bring the party with performances by Seattle-based musicians, hands-on art activities to inspire your creativity, and rotating local food trucks. We kick off this season of Summer at SAM with live music and performances presented in partnership with Sonic Guild and art-making curated by The Cutie Foundation.

5:30–7 pm | DJ Kween Kaysh
Kick off the evening with Kween Kaysh as she opens the program with a set full of sparkly beats, playful remixes, and dance floor magic.

5:30–9 pm | Art Activities
Craft your own whimsical fairy trinket with a rotating cast of local artists curated by The Cutie Foundation —then flutter back to the park on August 10 for the grand finale of Summer at SAM: Fairy Fest, where you can trade your treasures with fellow fairies!

6–6:30 pm | Neukom Vivarium
Explore the Mark Dion's Neukom Vivarium on a guided tour of this hybrid artwork and learning lab, where a fallen Western hemlock becomes home to an interconnected world of fungi, insects, and microbes.

Sonic Guild Concerts

7 pm | All Star Opera
All Star Opera is a seven-piece hip-hop band from Seattle, WA, blending thoughtful lyricism with live instrumentation and genre-bending energy since 2016. Fronted by MCs Flow Carter and Oz, the group weaves introspective rhymes with soulful hooks, backed by a dynamic ensemble of musicians. Flow Carter’s vocals and trumpet work add depth and versatility, pushing the sound beyond traditional Hip Hop into a rich fusion of jazz, funk, rock, and soul. Known for their powerful live shows and commitment to artistic evolution, All Star Opera is more than a rap group—they’re a band in every sense of the word.

8 pm| AJ Suede
AJ Suede is a Seattle-based musician boasting a catalog of over 40 albums and EP's. He has been referred to as Seattle's most prolific rapper/producer by The Seattle Times and KEXP on numerous occasions. Suede has also shared the stage with the likes of Lil Uzi Vert, Marc Rebillet, Open Mike Eagle, and many more.

Dinner & Drinks
Grab a bite during the concert from local food trucks Off the Rez and Lil J Super Dawgs. Additional snacks and beverages will be available for purchase from Shooby Doo Catering in the PACCAR Pavilion.
