Emerging Arts Leaders represent the next generation of arts and museum professionals. Weaving together cross-disciplinary project work, hands-on training with SAM staff, and a diverse range of lived experiences, these interns bring vibrant and relevant perspectives to the research, interpretation, and programming that SAM uses to bring art to life.
Join TahlĂa Segura, Emerging Arts Leader Staff Intern in Education, to learn about how we engage families and students at Seattle Art Museum. Through her work facilitating art workshops and research on family objects in art museums, Tahlia will provide a new lens through which to view SAMâs art, programs, and community. As part of the tour, guests may participate in a guided sketching activity of oceanic and Japanese animal models featured in *Pacific Species*.
The group will meet in the Knudsen Family Room in the third-floor galleries, inside of *American Art: The Stories We Carry*. This tour is open to all staff, volunteers, and visitors, and drawing materials will be provided.
