This dynamic recurring series opens the museum doors for a free evening of fun and learning. Everyone is invited to enjoy talks, gallery tours, performances, relaxing music, and delicious cocktails and snacks. This edition takes place at the Seattle Art Museum in downtown Seattle and will celebrate the exhibition, Joyce J. Scott: Walk a Mile in My Dreams. Programming will be inspired by Scottâs glass art including sculpture, beading, and installation. Gallery tours, demonstrations, and art making will take place throughout the evening.
This edition of SAM Open House coincides with Refract, a festival showcasing creative uses of glass in the Pacific Northwest. Hosted by Chihuly Garden and Glass in partnership with Visit Seattle, this event brings together art organizations and artists to showcase what makes the regionâs glass community so special. Refract 2024 takes place October 17-20.
